ENJOY -- THINK -- CREATE. These are the 3 things Kathy Carman Henderson hopes you will do with her books. Stories, art, and getting to know different cultures are her passions, each seasoned liberally with her faith. Kathy has branched out in her futuristic trilogy: In the Garden, Tenderness, and Rescue. She has imagined a time when genetic engineering has affected racial issues, marriage is just a seven year renewable contract, and religion has been outlawed. Inspired by her time as a Future Problem Solving coach, Kathy has developed her characters over a twenty-five year period. All three volumes are available as Kindle ebooks and in paperback, with a hardback version available in December of 2023. Openings of Providence is Kathy's biography of her great, great grandmother Anna Kay Scott. She not only drew from books written by Anna herself, but also letters kept by the American Baptist HIstorical Society which were written by Anna and her husband Edward. Travel with Anna from Illinois to Assam, India, by sailing ship. Endure with her through earthquakes, illness and even deaths. Journey with her to China at a time when women's feet were still bound and locals thought that white people were "foreign devils." Kathy's Ben and Gretchen novels are inspired by her own life and travels. Buck is a western created specifically for her husband. The drawings in her coloring books often are inspired by memories or family stories. Family and friends are getting used to seeing settings they recognize used in Kathy's works of fiction.
