Author K. M. Doherty says, "I love to read fantasy and science fiction. For fantasy, the more dragons, trolls, ogres, treachery, wizards, magic, and epic battles, the better. My favorites are Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Percy Jackson, Fablehaven, the Bartimaeus Trilogy, and the Shannara series. For sci-fi I love Startide Rising, Star Wars, Dr Who, the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and anything to do with robots. I believe that for magical fantasies, anything goes, as long as the author is consistent with their laws of magic. For sci-fi the physics must be correct or at least based on current theories. The premise for my own magical fantasy series is actually based on String Theory as it relates to Parallel Universes."
