Julian E. Benoit's journey to becoming an author is as eclectic and adventurous as the worlds he creates in his novels. Despite his early passion for science fiction and fantasy literature, he initially pursued a degree in biology, and then found himself swinging a hammer for a living after graduation. His thirst for adventure led him to join the Army, where he embarked on travels to diverse and often challenging locations around the globe, places that many would prefer to avoid. Amidst his various pursuits, Julian never forgot his passion for storytelling. During his college years, Julian began work on a science fiction novel, but progress was slow, and the manuscript often fell victim to unfortunate mishaps, leaving him to rewrite lost portions from memory. It wasn't until about two decades later that Julian decided to take his writing seriously. As he delved into his craft with renewed vigor, he found himself growing bored with his original project. It was then that he made the pivotal decision to create something entirely new. Thus, the magical fantasy world of Aertu was born, and with it, "The Chronicles of Aertu" series. Now, with his stories brought to life on the page, Julian hopes that readers will find as much delight in exploring Aertu as he did in bringing it to life. He hopes you enjoy reading his stories, and wonders why he is in the third person.
