Julia J. Gibbs is a freelance writer, who holds degrees in Philosophy and Psychology and is a licensed Counselor. She travels to speak for conferences and events teaching and sharing her stories. Simulacrum, the Oaks Remain, is the first of the Simulacrum Saga. Despite moving 24 times to three countries and ten states, she managed to find time to write, "Our Hearts are Big Enough," which was included in Stories Around the Table: Laughter, Wisdom and Strength in the Military Life and "Coming Home," which was featured in Military Spouse Magazine. Her stories have been featured in the Stars and Stripes Military Newspaper, and many other venues.
