Author - biography/memoir. Self-published debut book, 'A Cockney Rosebud', is a poignant tribute to my mother, who lived to 100 years. My early developmental years were spent as an outsider to life and a love of literature was my sanctuary. I challenged myself with the classics, and read 'War and Peace' twice to fully grasp its complexities. I rarely use the expression 'that is enough'. I have a keen observational eye and deep emotional insight, garnered by living on the periphery. When I write, I have a profound awareness that each day is precious and I channel my life experiences - marked by personal battles with breast cancer, Polymyalgia Rheumatica and chronic neuropathy - into my developing works. My next book explores the endless quest for fulfilment through the eyes of a lonely young girl. I am committed to sharing my stories (that resonate on a deeply human level) with readers who appreciate both the light and dark sides of life.
