JOEL JOHNSON has spoken before more than 2 million people. Beyond ministry school, he earned a Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M and studied phycology at Harvard University. Joel is Founder of Wholehearted University (www.wholehearted.university) and President of Joel Johnson Ministries (joeljohnson.org). More about Joel... Joel started speaking when he was 14. Since then, he has spoken before more than 2 million people around the world. Joel’s sidesplitting humor, masterful storytelling and enlightening illustrations make him a captivating communicator. Additionally, he has traveled, speaking with bands including Newsboys, Skillet, Third Day, Super Chic(k), Petra, and Jeremy Camp. As a teen, Joel surmounted the challenges brought about by financial hardship, a broken home, and abuse. His inspirational stories and teaching have helped thousands to find freedom from the wounds of a broken past. Joel loves adventurer. He has navigated down the Amazon River, lived with a native tribe in the Darien Jungle of Panama, enjoyed partaking in many traditional Maori Hangi feasts and ceremonies in New Zealand, played music throughout the war-torn city of Beirut, trekked to the top of Yosemite’s Half Dome and Pike’s Peak, walked the streets of Hanoi, rode an elephant through the jungle of Chiang Mia, Thailand, and oversaw the remodeling of an orphanage playground in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Joel served as an adjunct professor at Belmont University in Nashville, teaching master's-level courses in communication and leadership. He underwent two years of ministry training at Abundant Life School of Ministry, received a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Texas at Tyler, a Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M University School of Law and studied Phycology at Harvard University. Joel is the President of Wholehearted and Joel Johnson Ministries (www.joeljohnson.org) and founder of Wholehearted University (www.wholehearted.university). He has volunteered and worked in local churches for almost 30 years. Some of his roles have included: Student Pastor, College Pastor, Global Executive Pastor of Student Ministries, Campus Pastor and Teaching Pastor. Joel and his wife, Casey, their son, Lincoln, and daughter, Reagan, live near Charlotte, North Carolina.
