I still have the first book I ever wrote, a little story stapled together with crayoned illustrations, lovingly crafted when I was about five years old. Fast forward some fifty years and now I have several books available on Amazon - a definite tick off the bucket list! Family guy, educator, coach and photographer - I wear a few different hats. Based in Dublin, Ireland for almost 20 years now after growing up in the UK, I live with Penny my beautiful wife and Danny and April our two littles, but both growing fast! I run and lecture on a Master's programme in Project Management at UCD Smurfit Graduate School of Business, do some consultancy work around project/programme management and coaching people in these areas, and when the time allows, love photography, and specifically helping others develop their skills in this wonderful art form. I ran Nikon's training in Ireland for about 15 years, and have operated Houghton Photography (www.houghtonphoto.com) for many years delivering coaching, talks, photo walks and more recently, even recording a few videos on post-processing. My first book "Streets of Dublin" came out of a project I've been doing around a few consultancy gigs I had in Dublin. Finding myself in the city (where I rarely venture otherwise) gave me the impetus to explore a new genre - street photography, as well as a great excuse to get some new camera gear and dip my toe into the Fuji mirrorless system. I hope you enjoy it and my other books!
