A sometime filmmaker, photographer, and screenwriter, he's not sure how he ended up writing children's books or the odd old-folks book, but promises to stop soon. A native of Georgia, he now lives in Woodland Hills, California, on one of those hills. His wife and two daughters are also writers, but not his dog. And he likes cherry pie.
