Jill McGivering is an award-winning correspondent who's spent the past 30 years reporting from war zones and trouble spots around the world. With the BBC for more than 25 years, she specialises now in Asia and was posted to Hongkong, South Asia and the US. She's a born storyteller and her fast-paced novels draw on her first-hand experience of dramatic events in the countries she loves. Her first two novels - THE LAST KESTREL set in Afghanistan and FAR FROM MY FATHER'S HOUSE set in Pakistan - feature the fictional foreign correspondent, Ellen Thomas - and the life and death stories of the women she meets. Her most recent, DAUGHTERS OF INDIA, is a warm, human tale set during the British Raj. Jill lives in London with her husband and twin daughters.
