Jill Creech Bauer is an attorney from Flint, Michigan. She lives with her husband in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They have three adult children. Jill loves to create. In addition to writing, she dabbles in painting and filmmaking. She is an avid reader and independent film fan. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan. Go blue! Jill is the author of "The Nine Lives of John Aslin," a nonfiction novel based on the true story of an indigenous man who was incarcerated for 39 years for a nonviolent crime. John was released in 2023. "The Soul's Echo," is a collection of short speculative and literary fiction. Her attorney memoir, "The Civil Death Penalty: Losing Children to the State" was released in 2023. It is based on Jill's experiences as an parent defense attorney in Flint, Michigan where she passionately represented hundreds of women whose children were placed in foster care. She also publishes children's picture books under the pen name Jilly Beez.
