Janie Seltzer, M.A. Pastoral Theology, is a poet, writer, and speaker on the spiritual life (JaniePoet). She is also the spiritual director for Hidden Life Ministries and the Zig Ziglar Family Community International. Janie’s live-streamed weekly messages on Facebook attract a regular audience of 40,000 listeners worldwide. Her passion is to help, to teach and to guide others in understanding the great importance of spiritual formation; that is, how God works in us so that we might reflect the life of His own Son--even in the midst of our own fragile, imperfect, and mixed up souls! Janie speaks from many years of personal experience in the messiness of her own life and the lives of others. Her decision to return to school later in life for graduate studies in pastoral theology at Loyola Marymount University further enriched her knowledge and understanding. Janie co-leads Hidden Life Ministries with her husband, Don, an ordained Presbyterian pastor, who is also an interventionist and recovery coach. Janie and Don previously founded two churches, Wellington Presbyterian Church in Wellington, Florida, and North Coast Presbyterian Church in Encinitas, California (now Redeemer Presbyterian Church). In addition, Janie founded a wholesale gift company and worked in art licensing. Don and Janie have two grown sons and three golden retriever mixes—Peaches, Rudy and Sweden (the Queen!).
