Jacek Dziewinski grew up in communist Poland. He followed his family traditions (his father had been a Stalinist prisoner) and joined the anticommunist movement as a young man. After Martial Law was proclaimed in Poland, Jacek, his wife, and their little daughter left their country and settled in the US. His family started a new life in Dorchester — a Polish-Irish neighborhood of Boston. After working odd jobs, such as a dishwasher, a laundry helper, and a construction worker, Jacek began to climb the professional ladder. He accepted a position as a nuclear scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. However, he developed resentment for government bureaucracy. He resigned from his job and began writing books. Jacek lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with his one and only wife of many years. They have two adult daughters, one across the corner, another in San Diego. They enjoy having four grandkids. Dziewinski’s novel "Stones of Temple David" takes twists and turns across various places and cultures. The novel begins in pre-war Poland and then it leads the reader through the dark ages of communism, escape to the free world, love, betrayal, espionage, and the evils of bureaucracy. The action also includes psychedelic time-travel.
