Hilary Topper was never athletic. She spent forty+ years working for others and then opened her own business, HJMT Public Relations, Inc., a boutique Public Relations/Social Media firm. She started to get discouraged and wanted to change her life so she took up running at 48. Then things took a dramatic turn. She is the author of three books. Her most recent, From Couch Potato to Endurance Athlete - A Portrait of a Non-Athletic Triathlete, talks about her adventure and she hopes that it will inspire others to follow her path (or a similar path). In addition to her book, Hilary is an active blogger. She has more than 50,000 unique visitors to her blog, www.hilarytopper.com, and ATriathletesDiary.com. She is also a podcaster on Hilary Topper on Air. Hilary is also an Adjunct Professor at Hofstra University. She is a USA Triathlon Coach Level I and an RRCA Running Couch Level I.
