Giulia O'Sullivan was born in Northern California and spent her childhood in Pasadena and Newport Beach, California. Her love for storytelling was ignited by her mother, who filled her childhood with adventure and joy through captivating stories. Giulia pursued her higher education at the University of Oregon, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science and later moved to the Bay Area for graduate school. There, she earned her Master of Arts in Theology at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology. Giulia met her husband in San Francisco in 2021, and the couple has been happily married for a few months. Her passion for writing children's stories began to take shape during her college years when she would write short stories in her free time, never imagining they would become books. However, the pandemic in 2020 changed everything. Giulia used her time at home to teach herself illustration and bring her stories to life. These years of dedication and creativity gave her the confidence to pursue self-publishing. Her debut book, "Popper Puffin," will be published in 2024 and marks the beginning of an exciting literary journey. With more stories on the horizon, Giulia O'Sullivan is a children's author-illustrator to watch.
