G. Akella is the in-game user name of Georgy Smorodinsky. Akella has been an avid gamer for two decades now. He is passionate about MMORPG ever since he started playing Ultima Online and WoW. His main classes are Warrior, Rogue, and Death Knight. Currently, he is playing Black Desert. Back in vanilla WoW, Akella made Grand Marshall with his warrior, for those who still remember what that is. Throughout WoW's existence, he was present for the slaying of roughly 70-80% of raid bosses, and was the main tank about half the time in those encounters. In vanilla, he was the guild master of Shadow Angels on the Executus server. The guild had approximately 250 members, with an average of 80 people online every day. Sometimes, he led raids to MC and BWL (for those who remember, in vanilla raid groups maxed out at 40). Realm of Arkon is his debut series inspired by the works of D. Rus, A. Vasilyev, R. Mikhaylov and V. Mahanenko. In the author’s own words: “I wanted to create a world that lived by the game's rules and write a book that even gamers would enjoy reading.” His golden rule is to balance outstanding game mechanics, immersive writing and logical character growth. The Realm of Arkon is a series of nine. The first two books in the series Patch 17 and The Cursed Princedom sold their initial print run. Editorial reviews from literary critics and feedback from his growing readership get better with each new book. G. Akella is currently living in Moscow with his wife and three daughters. His dream is to visit San Francisco one day, the city in which Patch 17 takes place.
