Author Fan Wen, male, born in 1962 is from Sichuan, China. Obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese from Southwest University, China in 1985. Currently the Vice President of the Yunnan Province Writers Association. Started publishing his works, mainly novels, in 1986. To date he has published 16 literary works of different genres, to a total of more than 5 million words. Visited Tibet several times to live and work there. A Han Chinese of the Catholic faith, he is very deeply in love with the Tibetan landscape and the culture and religion of Tibet. 7 of his published works are centered on Tibet. ‘Harmonious Land (水乳大地)’ and ‘Land of Mercy (悲悯大地)’ have been translated into French and English for publication. Some of his other works have either been introduced or translated to countries like France, Germany, England, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Been awarded several Chinese Literary awards.
