The Rev. Dr. Emily Hunter McGowin is associate professor of theology at Wheaton College. She is a priest and canon theologian in the Anglican diocese of Churches for the Sake of Others (C4SO). She is the author of Christmas: Season of Life and Light (IVP, 2023) and Quivering Families (Fortress Press, 2018), and co-editor of God and Wonder: Theology, Imagination, and the Arts (with Dr. Jeffrey Barbeau; Cascade, 2022). She has also contributed chapters to a number of other books and has written online for Christianity Today and The Week. She is currently working on a practical theology of families tentatively titled Households of Faith (IVP, forthcoming 2024).
