Let me tell you a little bit about me. I am a comedian and also a doctor, specifically an anaesthetist (or anaesthesiologist if you're in the USA, or playing scrabble). I have written my first book 'Catch Your Breath' a funny and honest story about becoming an anaesthetist, and then also being at the forefront of a little-known, worldwide pandemic. I continue to juggle medicine, comedy, NHS infrastructure and writing. Other things I've done include creating and presenting the pilot Infectious Personalities on BBC Radio 2, where my guests were Charlie Brooker and Sindhu Vee. I have also written and performed on BBC Radio 4 and written for the Guardian. But is there anything else you can get your hands on, I hear you cry? But of course, my book is available to pre-order on Amazon. And I've also done several podcasts, ALL available on your favourite platforms: Comedians' Surgery podcast - where I interview comedians about their health and medical stories, with some features and games thrown in. There are around 50 episodes featuring guests such as James Acaster, Rose Matafeo, Joe Lycett, Reginald D Hunter and Andy Hamilton. Coffee and Covid podcast - where I catch up with NHS friends across the UK about life on during the pandemic lockdown (edited by my girlfriend, please say it sounds good).
