Dr Chloe is a UK-based Chartered Counselling Psychologist and the author of "The Loss Prescription: A Practical Roadmap to Grief Recovery". She is a mother, wife, daughter and sister and a chronic sufferer of Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) and CRPS (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome). Dr Chloe has lived with loss herself for a major part of her adult life, and has therapized thousands of people from all over the world to embrace life meaningfully and live with purpose and joy. She has learned through her own losses, that Mental Health is directly connected to Physical Health, and wellbeing - even in grief and any loss - is a holistic process where mind, body, heart, spirit and soul need sustenance and balance. "If we suppress and bottle up our emotions, and pretend we're ok when we are not, they build as tension in the body and leak out as pain and mental health symptoms." In her latest book, she offers a simple roadmap to Grief Recovery, with therapeutic prescriptions informed by 2 decades of therapy practice, to find meaning again, in a life that seems uncertain, adrift and unfair. Her book offers a holistic approach and includes many case studies that Dr Chloe has worked with, as well as her own challenges with the loss of her health. Dr Chloe is a Lecturer at The Existential Academy and at The New School of Psychotherapy & Counselling in London and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society with more than 22 years of clinical expertise in Mental Health, Trauma, Loss and Grief. She is the founder of "The Grief Clinic" in London, and is a supervisor to clinicians and to a number of Phd candidates researching Grief. She also regularly consults in the Corporate World, leading webinars & workshops to raise awareness on Grief & Trauma in the workplace. She is the author of a number of articles on mental health & grief and has appeared on CNN, BBC Radio 2’s Breakfast Show and on a number of popular podcasts such as Stompcast, Grief is my Superpower to name a couple, as well as in print for The Huffington Post, Daily Telegraph & The Guardian discussing Mental ill Health and Grief. In 2022 she was invited to lead a Guardian Masterclass on “How to cope with grief and loss.” She has been a visiting lecturer for a number of psychology programmes, including Cambridge University Executive MBA teaching Mental Fitness and Resilience for Mental Health & Wellbeing. Dr Chloe is passionate about democratising therapy and bringing people together to support each other, and share in the humanity of loss.
