Donovan Edwards, a Wyoming native is a multi-talented individual with awards for his songwriting, singing, and several other projects he was worked on. Adding to his tool belt, Donovan has two Bachelor of Science degrees. One in Criminal Justice and the other in Psychology, which proved to be most valuable to the first-time novelist when it came to the subject matter of his book series and being able to apply it perfectly; giving the story the realism it needed. Donovan used his life experiences to provide him with a unique combination matrix from which to draw, his unique writing style. It is clear Donovan has the talent for composing fascinating stories as well as capturing his reader's attention right out of the gate! The fact that Donovan has entered the genre of horror fiction and unabashedly chose to use a gay character for the lead role also suggests that Donovan is unafraid to write what he wants and that the audience will surely follow. Donovan is currently preparing for the release of the third book in his Denver Demon book series. If all goes well it will see an October 31st release, just in time for Halloween! A personal note from the author: I have always had a passion for storytelling! I love to tell intriguing stories and do so in such a way that the reader feels as though they are part of the story. I want my readers to not only relate to but develop strong feelings for each character. When I write I visualize each scene as if I am watching a movie in hopes that the reader will also be able to visualize the story and its cast of characters as the story unfolds. I am often asked, "Who has been your biggest influence as a writer?" That's honor goes to none other than Dolly Parton. I will explain why in great detail in a future blog post.
