In his early life, Dimitri relocated to the USA in 1970, only to return to his native Haiti until the age of 14. In 1979, he made Brooklyn, New York his home until a move to Memphis in 1990. For several years, Dimitri made significant contributions to the healthcare industry, before becoming a successful business owner. However, the turning point in Dimitri's life came with the joy of becoming a grandfather. He discovered his innate talent for storytelling, a skill that made him a beloved figure among his children and grandchildren. He found immense pleasure in watching the young ones get absorbed in his stories, their imaginations coming alive with every plot twist. Often, the kids became co-authors, expanding on his stories with their own creative inputs. It was this mutual exchange of imagination that eventually led Dimitri to put pen to paper and become a renowned author of children's books.
