Dr. Denise Strothers is a wife, a mother, and the National Director of Training for Healing Communities USA, a faith-based organization training churches in prison reentry, sex trafficking, and justice-involved youth. Dr. Denise completed her Doctor of Ministry from Howard University School of Divinity. She is the author of Christian Men Speak Up for Sexually Exploited Women and Children. This book advises Christian men of their crucial role in changing cultural attitudes surrounding the sexual exploitation of women and children by addressing those who drive the demand for sex trafficking. Dr. Denise and her husband serve on the pastoral team at Impact DMV Church in Washington, DC. She leads a weekly live prayer ministry, and now releases her new book, Light for the Journey Journal: Over 60 Healing Prayers and Scriptures, for those who are struggling with illnesses and emotional traumas. Dr. Denise hosts her own YouTube Channel where you can find many of her presentations, teachings, and music. She also serves as a Board Member of the Center for Public Justice, whose mission is to equip citizens, develop leaders, and shape policy in pursuit of the purpose to serve God, advancing justice, and transforming public life.
