David Zelman, PhD, is the founder and CEO of Transitions Institute, Inc, based in Dallas, Texas. The Transitions Institute is committed to promoting a powerful truth about changing one’s life: It is much easier to accomplish positive change by focusing on the future rather than trying to alter the past. David feels that individuals are most effective when their intentions and actions are aligned toward a future they deeply desire, and to which they make a deliberate commitment. He’s aligned his career and company to help people manifest their desired future. Over the course of his career, he has personally coached thousands of people nationally and internationally including billionaires, royalty, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, professional athletes, and performers. David’s process guides people on a powerful journey of self-discovery and freedom; freedom from one’s past limitations and freedom to intentionally express life in a manner that reflects one’s core values and personal commitments. Clarity, purpose, and self-expression become the guiding principles for living happily and living successfully. Dr. Zelman received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1976. Drawing on years of both clinical and consulting experience, David has become a unique resource for many people. Regardless of their level of success, David believes his clients have just scratched the surface of their potential. David says he is not interested in his clients growing old with their potential intact. He tells them “that potential is a poor companion in one’s later years.” David lives with Karen, his wife of 34 years. They have three children and welcomed their first grandchild this spring. He is an avid swimmer and cyclist, competes in Ironman Triathlons, and enjoys golf, travel and spending time with his family.
