David W. Brown began his federal government career at 17 by enlisting in the US Navy. He trained at the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois, and completed BUD/S training Class 115 in Coronado, California. After Army Airborne training at Fort Benning, GA, he served with UDT-21 and SEAL Team 4, participating in global operations. In a significant career transition in 1987, David moved from a military role to a civilian Special Agent position with NCIS. His federal law enforcement work took him to South Carolina, Hawaii, and Washington, D.C. Later, he joined the EPA Criminal Investigation Division in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was promoted to Assistant Special Agent in Charge. David's 34-year government career culminated with the Department of Interior in Sacramento, California, where he served as the Special Agent in Charge, overseeing operations across the western U.S. and Pacific regions before retiring as the Associate Inspector General for Communication. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Troy State University. He is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership, the Federal Executive Institute, and has attended leadership courses at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, as part of the prestigious Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program. David lives in Sanford, Florida, with his wife Sheryl, where he proactively advocates for public safety in his community.
