Dana Villa is Packey J. Dee Professor of Political Theory at the University of Notre Dame. He has been a Visiting Professor of Government at Harvard and a Fellow at the American Academy in Berlin, the Institute for Advanced Study, and Princeton's Center for Human Values. He has also received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Council of Learned Societies. His books and essays have been translated into French, German, Italian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish, Hebrew, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. His Ph.D is from Princeton, where he studied with Sheldon Wolin and the late Richard Rorty. He lives in Chicago and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
