Probably best known for having penned the Grammy Award winning Classic Rock anthem "Shadows of the Night", D.L.Byron has been in the music business for decades. Signed by Clive Davis to Arista Records, D.L. released his debut LP "This Day and Age" produced by Jimmy Iovine in1980. As a child he was told that his birthmother had died giving him birth. He shouldered much blame for that during his career, yet a part of him always believed that his real mother was in fact alive and that one day they would be reunited. That fateful day came in 1998, when through a strange turn of events he found his birthmother as well as seven sisters. This autobiography is not only a story of the trials of the music business but also a story about adoption and adoption trauma. Moreover, it is a story about never giving up on your dreams in life. An truly inspired work to be sure!
