Corinne Baldwin grew up in the affluent suburb of Lake Forest, Illinois, just north of Chicago. After attending prestigious schools and rubbing elbows with the savvy and successful, she graduated with a degree in interior design and went on to pursue a career in that field, which yielded both triumphs and setbacks, professionally and personally. Addressing the latter, Surviving the Sociopath is her first narrative, focusing on who and who not to get involved with. It conveys a warning to be heeded. From that experience, Corinne narrowly avoided total loss, and has since rebounded, learned, and creatively reinvented herself. Her journey has taken her from Lake Forest to California Wine Country to her current home in coastal South Carolina, where she continues to design as well as share her experiences through writing. Says the author, “We all make the mistake of getting involved with the wrong people from time to time. The essential takeaway here is learning to love ourselves while not overlooking the bad behavior of others, excusing our tolerance as love.”
