Colum Sanson-Regan is an Irish-born author and musician who started his career improvising legends on the Blarney Castle grounds to coax pocket change from tourists and busking on the streets of Cork and Dublin. The Fly Guy is Colum's debut as a novelist and follows Martin Tripp, a struggling writer whose characters begin making appearances in the real world. The Tall Owl and Other Stories is a short story collection telling tales of adversity, loss, obsession, triumph and love. Stories with characters in different parts of the world, with different motivations and facing different problems, with different destinations -but all moved by the momentum of the human heart. Colum's first solo album, GO, enjoyed a spot in the top five download charts, and songs from it have been featured in documentaries, compilations, and educational materials. He regularly performs in Cardiff, Wales where he now lives with his wife Kerry and two daughters. Colum attended the University of South Wales, where he completed his masters in creative and professional writing, and was the recipient of the Michael Parnell Award. He now lectures there and runs creative writing courses and retreats. In addition to his musical and academic accomplishments, Colum was also a regular on Doctor Who, as David Tennant's double.
