Chris R. Armstrong (Ph.D., Duke University; M.A., Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary) is Senior Fellow of Anselm House at the University of Minnesota, Managing Editor of Faith & Flourishing journal, and Senior Editor of Christian History magazine. He has served as Program Fellow for Faith, Work, and Economics at the Kern Family Foundation, Waukesha, WI; founding director of Opus: The Art of Work at Wheaton College (IL); founding director of Work with Purpose at Bethel Seminary (MN); and professor of church history at Bethel Seminary. Chris has written Medieval Wisdom for Modern Christians: Finding Authentic Faith in a Forgotten Age (2016) and Patron Saints for Postmoderns (2010). His Substack is called HWOL. He is currently writing his third book, Fully Human: A Brief History of Faith & Flourishing. Chris is married to Sharon and they have five children: Kate, Caleb, Grace, Ross, and John Allen.
