Chris Angus is the author of historical thrillers set all over the world and dealing with scientific, and medical issues, recent DNA discoveries and ancient diseases. He is the award-winning author of LONDON UNDERGROUND, THE GODS OF LAKI, FLYPAPER, WINSTON CHURCHILL AND THE TREASURE OF MAPUNGUBWE HILL and THE LAST TITANIC STORY. His mystery, MISERY BAY, set in Nova Scotia, will be released in May, 2016. He has also been a book review editor and newspaper columnist and has published more than 400 essays, articles, book introductions, columns and reviews in a wide variety of publications, including THE NEW YORK TIMES, ALBANY TIMES-UNION, ADIRONDACK LIFE, AMERICAN FORESTS, WORDSWORTH AMERICAN CLASSICS, ADIRONDACK EXPLORER and many more. He is also the author of several works of nonfiction, including OSWEGATCHIE: NORTH COUNTRY RIVER (North County Books--2006), THE EXTRAORDINARY ADIRONDACK JOURNEY OF CLARENCE PETTY: WILDERNESS GUIDE, PILOT AND CONSERVATIONIST (Syracuse University Press--2002), IMAGES OF AMERICA: ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY (Arcadia Press), and REFLECTIONS FROM CANOE COUNTRY (Syracuse University Press--1997) He has been active in efforts to reopen Adirondack rivers to the public.
