C.S. Ellmer was born in the Salzkammergut region of Upper Austria, where she still lives today with her husband, three children and two dogs. Freedom, equality and a love of nature are the cornerstones of her philosophy. This is also the basis of her "Refugium" trilogy. Her debut novel and the first volume in the series - in Elys - was written within the last two years, which have been marked by a pandemic, wars and natural disasters.
