Brinet Rutherford is an attorney based in New York City. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Bridgeport with a B.A. in International Political Economy and Diplomacy and Social Sciences with a minor in Political Science. She earned her J.D. from Drake University Law School. Ms. Rutherford is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. In her first book, "Choices," she describes the experiences that shaped her journey to becoming a lawyer at the age of twenty-four. She uses key choices as a roadmap to provide the reader with lowlights and highlights.
