Bonnie Harris, M.S.Ed. is the Director of Connective Parenting and has been a parenting specialist for over 30 years. Parent educator, professional trainer, family counselor, author, podcast host and international speaker, Harris is known for her support of the parent's journey to create a mutually nourishing relationship with the child and to restore the relationship if it has suffered. Harris is the author of 2 books, "When Your Kids Push Your Buttons and What You Can Do About It", and "Confident Parents, Remarkable Kids: 8 Principles for Raising Kids You'll Love to Live With". She has also designed the course and written the workbook for "When Your Kids Push Your Buttons". The "Buttons" book and program helps parents raise awareness of the effects of their own childhood experiences on their current parenting and reveals what their individual "buttons" are so they can be defused and generational trauma can stop. Confident Parents distills the work of Connective Parenting into 8 key principles and practical strategies and tools, which are vastly more effective at holding children accountable and developing responsibility and consideration than the archaic system of reward and punishment. 150 episodes of Harris' podcast, "Tell Me About Your Kids", are available where listeners can be a fly on the wall of Harris' parent coaching sessions with real parents talking about their real every day problems and concerns. Bonnie has appeared on The Today Show, ABC Australia, Asia News Broadcast in Singapore, numerous radio and television programs, and has been a guest on podcasts, internet seminars and featured in numerous parenting magazines. Harris' masters degree is from Bank Street College in NYC. In 1990, she founded a family resource center dedicated to parent education, support, and community connection. It is now a family resource center of distinction. Bonnie is the mother of two successful grown children and grandparent to five raised with her connective parenting approach. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband and dog.
