"Art" Deegan has had three careers. 1) He studied theology as a professed religious seminarian with the Society of Mary (Marist Fathers), but left before being ordained a priest. 2) He earned an MBA and Doctorate in Business Administration, taught at the University of Michigan and had a successful consulting career specializing in strategic planning and Management by Objectives, as well as authoring six books on management. 3) Upon retirement he has authored several books in the spiritual development genre, including The Bread of Life Discourse, The Appearances of the Risen Christ, and The Hidden Life of Mary. Along the way, he spent three years as an officer in the Army's Counter Intelligence Corps, and raised a family with his beloved wife of 61 years, Patricia.
