Ann's first book, Counselor, started with a dream that "wouldn't go away" and haunted her until she was convinced it was a story she had to tell the world. From the feedback so far, it seems that dream has changed more than one life. Ann has taught middle school drama (pardon the redundancy) as well as English, speech, French, and music and has received much inspiration (and amusement)from her students. She also has studied dream interpretation from a Biblical perspective, having experienced some life-changing dreams. Ann Aschauer (1953-) was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She graduated from the University of Illinois Department of Theater Arts with a BFA in Directing and Playwriting. She and her husband live in Port Huron, Michigan. They have three grown children and three grandchildren.
