Angelina Dunbar writes fantasy, mystery, and adventure books for children. She grew up in a barrio (village) in Cebu, Philippines, without electricity, television, phones, or the internet. As a child, her lola (grandmother) told her stories of mythical creatures and spirit worlds which sparked her imagination and love of storytelling. This may also explain her adventurous and curious spirit. And why she enjoys nature, art, and exploring different cultures and their customs. Her experience as a substitute teacher inspired her to write for children after serving in the military. She is best known for her preschool books “Hugz and His Friend Bugz” and Bodbod’s Ghosts. She is excited to release her new book, “Tina and the Giant The Borrowers’ Cave” where kids will learn about Filipino culture and join Tina in her quest to find the Borrowers’ Cave.
