Adam Preston is an author, screenwriter and comedian who has also written and directed a series of short films. After being raised in a petting zoo in Kent in the U.K. Adam studied literature and visual studies at Oxford Brookes University. He subsequently worked in the television industry - working at Transatlantic Films in London, Maysles Films in New York and as production manager at Entertainment Productions in London. Adam has been commissioned to write screenplays by Working Title Television and Trinamite Films and has written for The Times, The Times Literary Supplement, The Financial Times and Sight and Sound. His cartoons have appeared in Private Eye magazine and the Best of Private Eye annual. He is a world expert on the story of Lord Nelson and Emma Hamilton and is a popular public speaker on the subject. His most recent short film, The Last Post, broadcast on the Shorts TV channel in the US and across Europe and has clocked up significant views on iTunes and Amazon pay-per-view. Adam lives in Kent in the UK and runs Particular Productions, a film and publishing company. He also organises stand-up comedy shows through his company Village Idiot Comedy.
