Summary
Life gets complicated when love turns out to be nothing like you expected - and the woman you want is too close to touch. Gretchen Kaiser is a workaholic corporate honcho with issues - she’s got daddy issues, she’s got female-executive-in-a-man’s-world issues, and she’s got one-night-stand issues. What she doesn’t have are love issues. She isn’t looking for it, she doesn’t feel she needs it, and she doesn’t expect to find it…certainly not right under her nose.
Kylie O’Brien is the kind of girl who believes in true love and is willing to wait until it shows up at her door. Her best friend, Mick, would sweep her off her feet given the chance, but Mick doesn’t make Kylie feel the way true love should. And now Kylie has to worry about her new boss.... Gretchen Kaiser’s icy reserve makes life as her administrative assistant a challenge. It doesn’t matter one damn bit that Gretchen is extremely attractive with a voice as rich and smooth as melted chocolate. It absolutely doesn’t…

A Great Workplace romance
A Ice Queen, a Melter and all in the workplace. This book was right up my street. I enjoyed it a lot. The relationship build up was perfect. The characters both had things going on in their personal lives that was relevant and help explain who they are. I loved them together in work and then as a couple. There is so much I enjoyed about this book and only one scene that I didn’t like. All in all a really great book

Good light hearted romance
Surprisingly good for modern romance as our main characters are equal in their romance which is nice change from today's typical romance where there feels to be always domineering and submissive persons which writer tries to make reader believe that they are equals in their partnership. Only thing what I didn't like in story arc was prolonged back and forth between character as they go through if its OK to date someone from the work and is it love or lust. And this is ended by tragedy which drives characters to decide that love is more important than anything else. This kind of plot twist always tickle me wrong way, as it says that persons can't be happy without some kind of tragedy in their lives, which feels just wrong kind of message in my mind. Writing of book is easy and fast to read and tone of writing is light, so book is very good for light reading. Book differentiated itself from other romance book somewhat by using all knowing third person view in writing instead of from character point of view (aka first person) Reader is pleasant to listen, even though she don't differentiate characters sound from each other very much, but that don't matter in third person narration, what this book uses, because every time character speaks or thoughts it's mentioned which character's turn it is to be in spotlight.

Ok just not quite right
Abby credentials as ever did an excellent job of narration but I had a hard time connecting with the story. I just didn't click with the MC's.

Wonderful author
Yet again, I find myself getting lost in the writings of Georgia Beers...
Thank you for a beautifully written story that swept me away and made me part of it all the way through...
Abby... adore you...simple... perfectly performed - the Queen of narration without a doubt

It does get a bit better in the final third
This romance is predictable, mostly quite boring and not helped by Georgia Beers writing, which is seldom good, or Abby Craden's narration, which seems to get more irritating each time I listen to her reading.
