About this listen

When Lexi Pines hops in the saddle, everything changes.

Lexi Pines has made a terrible mistake. Just out of grad school and desperately broke, she’s resorted to cleaning out old houses in exchange for room and board. When she discovers a brand new Sybian in the attic, Lexi can’t resist the temptation. But her sexual exploits aren’t just earth-shatteringly fun; they’re waking a dark, handsome, brooding ghost with a secret he can’t quite remember. The Sybian is tied to the fading spirit who gets stronger the more Lexi indulges in carnal pleasures. Will this haunting send Lexi for the hills? Or will she go along for the ride?

The Ghost and the Machine is a short, sexy paranormal novella. If you like sensual stories, seductive spirits, and surprising Sybians, then you’ll love Jade Parker’s delicious tale.

Content Note: This book contains sexual scenes, including kink/fetish content, MMF, and FFM.

Great narration, so-so story

I would have enjoyed this way more if the sex scenes weren't written like a cheap porn script. They seemed like they were aimed at men who like to dominate and degrade women, and felt mostly out of place in this story. Which is a shame because I thought the story was quite cute, so it would have been great for the sex scenes to be sensual and more focused what really pleasures women. On the plus side, the narrator was brilliant. She saved this for me, her accent is charming, her voice suave and warm, and she really brought the story to life. I'll keep an eye out for her name on Audible so I don't miss the next audiobook she narrates!

Good story bad narrator

Beautiful story very erotic for my taste but in general good. Tbh I couldn’t listen to the book actually I bought the book physically because narrator was awful. I couldn’t stand her. If the writer was smart enough I will recommend to never let
This narrator work again with.

Slow start but absolutely worth the listen.

While this wasn't my usual kind of book I was surprised by how compelling it was.

It started off feeling awkward to me, possibly because I wasn't used to this kind of fantastical story, but as the narration went on (which was great) it got better and better.
I think part of that was because I was enjoying it more, it even sounded like the narrator was enjoying it more...

If you can get past the first few minutes and accept that this is essentially an erotic fairy-tale, it's really enjoyable and sexy!
Great listen, worth a try whether or not "it's your thing".

The magic is in the voice of the narrator

The story is a fantasy full of sensuality and erotism, the narrator with her soft, smoky and sweet voices is able to make you feel like if you were the protagonist of the story in that room with the ghost machine, and that is a delight!
Once you finish this audio-book, you’ll want to listen to it over and over again!💫✨✨✨✨
