About this listen
Facing his crush from uni was not what E expected on a blind date.
A new dating app. Rules: both parties sit at a table with blindfolds on. Each can ask three questions. If they don’t like the answers, they can leave. If both parties enjoy the conversation, they take the blindfolds off. What can go wrong? Nothing.
Unless you come face-to-face with your old crush. This is exactly how Ernesto—an autistic video game programmer with a dominant streak, reconnects with Brian—an easy-going ex-football player with a burgeoning desire to submit. After his secret obsession with Brian comes to light, he realises both of them have changed since their time at uni. E is willing to risk a potential emotional disaster to have Brian under him, even if just for one night.
Brian threw himself into his bi-awakening with so much enthusiasm, he got hurt too many times to count, but succumbing to the demands of this lean, geeky Dom may be just what Brian needs. He has to overcome his past to truly give himself to E, at the danger of having his heart broken by a man who desires his body but doesn’t know his secrets.
A standalone MM book 2 from the contemporary Pursuit of Love series. High steam/low angst.

Sweet, endearing...
And so very spicy but with heart, care and depth!
I loved Brian and E and their dynamic was playful, sexy and passionate.
I liked the diversity and differences between the two and I like how K.C. gave us snippets into the minds of each character while balancing honest communication at just the right times! I loved these two and while I wish we could have seen them at the club, I look forward to any cameos if them in the future!!
very dynamic performance. I was able to hear the different characters even within the chapters and each personality came through in the performance! thoroughly enjoyable!

Loved this
I had read this book when it was first released, and I loved the story. Brian & E somehow fit perfectly together, though they did have some rather roughened edges to smooth over along the way, for both of them. The writing and k1nk scenes are wonderful, as is their HEA & circle of friends. There's so much trust & self-worth rebuilding in this book, and it works beautifully between these two.
The narrator, Freddie Wills, is a new one to me, but he did a fantastic job with their story & brought it to life brilliantly. Loved his raspy flair, the emoting, pacing, - you could feel the anguish & terror or nerves when applicable (yes, that goes for all good narrators/actors, but you could hear/feel it deeply in this particular performance) Very well done, and I look forward to hearing more from this guy!

New to me author and narrator
I liked that they met like in the first scene and handled their difficulties and issues together.
I’m probably too used to American English so it took me some time to get into the story. Not because I didn’t understand, but because I thought about the use of different words.
The narrator did a good job

Sweet, hot and knky fastburn romance.
Ernesto (or ‘E’) and his former college crush Brian make a chance re-encounter thanks to The Blindfold Date dating app and both the sparks, and the emotions start flowing fast. It was my first time reading a BDSM book that also incorporated a dom on the autistic spectrum, with many of the personality quirks that come with that – not all doms are burly brooding bears! Watching Brian’s bold, burly and beautiful exterior gradually peeling away under E’s care and control to reveal the soft and slightly fragile sub within is both beautiful and hot. I’ve reread it several times now and like it more every time. I particularly enjoy the way the author incorporates key aspects of consent, boundaries and aftercare within the story without making it a how-to of BDSM rather than a fast and fun MM romance. In the audiobook, I love the fact that the narrator Freddie is fully committed to his British voice – the book is set in London after all – after listening to so many American audiobooks it’s a bit of a surprise at first but his voice is so good and presents the various voices and accents wonderfully.

excellent
4.5 stars, listened to the audiobook. Excellent narrator who really seemed to understand the characters. I sometimes struggled a little with the autism representation - while Brian had family experience and was fine with neurospicy quirks, E himself still seemed to spend a lot of time masking around him and surprisingly having very little trouble "overcoming" those same quirks. Pushing Brian so hard to go to the police was admirable and important but felt harsh. Admittedly I have a different brand of neurospicy so I may have it wrong, and one person's experience is not that of another. The rest of the story and how the MCs developed a relationship was really enjoyable and it fit in well with the series but also works fine as a standalone.

Fabulous Story & Listen🎧 Lots of Heart & Heat❤️
K.C. Carmine pens another wonderful novel set in her “Pursuit of Love” series, a steamy mm romance novel that is a complete standalone. This story is Ernesto and Brian’s story, a story that grabbed my attention right from the start and held it captive for the entire book. Blindfold dating puts a fun and interesting spin on blind dating, but when the blindfold comes off and you recognize the guy you’ve been talking to and connecting with, not so much fun, at least not for Ernesto. The guy sitting across from him is the football player he crushed on when in college, making it even worse, since he does not recognize or remember you. Brian did not know why E bolted, but he could not let him get away. It was great to watch these to get to know each other and watch their relationship blossom. The chemistry between them was through the roof and they were great together and for each other. It is a steamy romance with a lot of heart and the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. K.C. Carmine, thank you for another wonderful story and the steamy and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Freddie Wills delivers another fabulous performance, bringing the characters to life, humanizing them with their personality and giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. I love how he takes each role and makes it his own sounding believable and just as I imagine the characters to sound. He continues to set the perfect tone for the story, captures all the character’s emotions and has you each one. Wills is a versatile voice artist and his performance elevates this already wonderful story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen.
