Summary

Attention: This audiobook contains explicit sexual content between consenting assassins and not so innocent professors. There are depictions of male chastity, breath play, watersports, humiliation, and torture by '80s hair bands with ginger sprinkles on top.

Phew! Now, that that's out of the way, Hi. I'm Mr. No, your friendly communications agent for The Assassins' Guild, a.k.a. T.A.G.

I've been authorized by the head honcho himself, Mr. H, to release approved records from the agent files.

Agent Code Name Mr. W was recovering from a near death debacle by way of an easy assignment in a small mountain town. Red flags sprang up immediately around the seemingly innocent English professor. Determined to get to the bottom of the mystery Jacob Peters presented, Mr. W made plans to do what he did best, watch , wait, and then capture and interrogate.

But even the best laid plans can go awry...

Find out what brought Mr. W to his knees in this first release from the archives of The Assassins' Guild.

Clever & Beautifully Written, Pugh is Spectacular!

Clever, smart, and wickedly dirty, A.G. Carothers scores a perfect 10 with T.A.G. You’re Seen! The first book in their The Assassins’ Guild series, Carothers lays down a thrilling, fast-moving adventure. Wonderfully complex characters navigate twists and turns, all while a heart-touching tale unfolds. After all, assassins live, love, and laugh too.

This audio version of T.A.G. You’re Seen is performed by Gomez Pugh, and I don’t have to tell his fans how perfect he is for this kind of novel. What an opportunity for this talented narrator to show off his impressive skill with accents... and his ability to croon those sexy Russian words of love! Horoshiy malchik, o da!

Plus Mr. Pugh does an amazing job representing the wide variety of personalities in the cast. From the playfulness of the young guys to the gruffer, more somber, older men, Pugh’s performance is brilliant. This talented narrator has A.G. Carothers’ humor down pat, and I can’t wait to hear him perform the next episode in this series.

Broken into two parts, T.A.G. You’re Seen begins with the story of a young assassin on (what should be) a routine job. Something doesn’t seem right, and when he takes a deeper look at his target, he’s in for a big surprise. Well that’s the story for the second half of the novel, and to say any more here would spoil the whole thing! The reveal is clever and a lot of fun.

This is the second novel I’ve read by A.G. Carothers, and what captures me most about their writing are the connections between the characters. This is a stunning D/s relationship, and the emotions that emerge during the power exchanges are moving and truly beautiful.

Carothers also explores the bonds between the wide mixture of men who make up the family of T.A.G. From father and son, to brothers, to comrades in arms, I’m looking forward to learning more about this eclectic blend of personalities in the next episode in The Assassins’ Guild series.

There’s a wonderful, rich history between these characters, and I love the snarky banter as they navigate their way through the story. It’s not a comedy, but A.G. Carothers weaves touches of lightheartedness and humor throughout. There are also gritty stories of past assassinations, descriptions of torture techniques, and details of these guys’ lives that will tug at your heartstrings. A perfect blend of thriller, erotica, and a touching hurt/comfort tale, T.A.G. You’re Seen is everything I could want in a dark romance novel.

Hot asassins!

Hot, kinky story about the assassins of the T.A.G. organization. The first part of the book is from the POV of a young assassin, who is a kinky submissive boy. The second part of the book is from the dominant older assassins POV.
I liked the story a lot. It was fresh, suprising and very kinky at times! If a thought of watersports makes you gag, this book is not for you.
Narrator was good, characters have their unique voices. I haven't listened him before, but definitely going to listen him again! I really want to listen the next book in the series.

Mixed feelings

Some reviews practically write themselves. I listen to the book, and my feelings are clear. The words flow onto the page as I share my feelings with other listeners. I tell them why they have to buy this book or, occasionally, why they might want to pass on a story. I always put a lot of thought into my reviews. They’re never done lightly. I know how authors depend on reviews to garner future readers.

All that being said, when I encounter a book like T.A.G. You’re Seen and I have so many mixed emotions, it’s a struggle for me to put them into words. There are things I liked about the book, things that were a little off putting, and at least one moment where I went, ‘you’re kidding, right?’

Starting with the good stuff. I love when the lead in the book is of a different ethnic background than mine. I don’t have enough exposure to other cultures, and books give me that chance to delve into things that aren’t well known to me. Yoshi is a character who is far beyond my experience. (That being said, he’s in his twenties, so the cover image didn’t quite work for me.) Beyond his ethnicity is the fact he’s an assassin. He botched his one hundredth kill and so he’s been knocked down a few rungs in the Assassins Guild. But his latest job is his chance at redemption. Kill a college professor. What could be simpler?

Well, we’ll start with the physical attraction. The professor is handsome. Attractive. Sexy. Yoshi wants some for himself, and since he can’t have any, his cock takes a fair amount of abuse. Self-gratification and cock cages abound. Another reviewer pointed out that Yoshi is obsessed with his genitalia. I don’t normally read other reviews, but I wanted to see if I was the only one who didn’t love this book. If I was the only one who struggled. Seems I’m in the minority.

I’ll take a step back and mention the warnings. They are all accurate and if you’re squeamish, this might not be the book for you. But I’m firm in my belief of not kink shaming. If watersports are your thing, this book is for you. Breath play? Have at it as long as it’s safe. But I’m also big about not putting oneself in a precarious position. For the sake of the story, Yoshi did something I considered, frankly, that pushed credulity. Did it all work out in the end? Yes. Was I thinking ‘what the hell?’. Yes.

All that being said, I love kink and this book had plenty of it. It has also set up the next book nicely and I suspect I’ll grab it if I can. I’m glad Yoshi got his happy ending, and I’m waiting to see if his bestie Connor (Connie) ends up the same way.

Gomez Pugh narrated this story and I adore him. He narrated Kaje Harper’s Rebuilding series and he’s quickly become one of my faves. He did a great job with this story and elevated my impression of it. Hopefully he’ll be helming the next one as well.

Unique & Kinky with excellent narration!

🌟🌟🌟🌟 4 stars
🔥🔥🔥 Heat Level: 3 (contains elements that were a little “too kinky” for me.
🎧🎧🎧🎧 Narration: 4.5

A unique, world and story, with second chances, age gap, and steamy connections!

This is a very unique world A.G. had created and I like the cold heated assassins angle with more beneath the surface. I like Yoshi! He’s a uniquely dynamic character, with skills to kill and love to give. I like the second chances elements of this story and loved the twists and turns, even with the elements of betrayal. I felt this was a great series opener and included a great introduction to the family and world. I’d say it was very kinky but each to their own kink, and who’s to say it’s “too kinky” 😉 I will say that I found it pushing my boundaries a little too much but you can’t deny the fire between Yoshi and Jacob.

I did feel the book just ended and wasn’t quite as “wrapped up” as I usually like but I think it works into the uniqueness of this book and I feel A.G. has a lot more up their sleeves in this world, this series, and these unique assassins!!

This was my first time listening to Gomez Pugh and I think they did a fantastic job! Great use of tone of voice, easy to listen to and great and unique dialects matched accordingly to each character. His Russian accent was also excellent! I’ll definitely listen to him again!

Thanks for reading!

Actually interesting

At first I stopped listening because I was tired of the main character being so much in his head. But then I gave it another chance and I'm glad I did.
Good story. I don't want to give the plot away but I did end up enjoying it.
I also enjoyed the narration and his great portrayal of all the characters and the different accents.

Perculiar

Great narrator, very perculiar book, and not in a good way.

Pure porn slapped in your face almost in the opening sentences was not pleasant or expected. The blurb does give some warning of the content, but I expected some lead up to it.
