About this listen
Book 1 in the Hard Rock Harlots series
WARNING: Strings is not suitable for slut shamers, uptight stone throwers, holier-than-thou prudes, humorless virgins, persons with chronic neck or back pain, pearl-clutching biddies, those who disparage crude humor or vulgarity in their many forms, closed-minded people with sticks up their asses, or anyone under the age of 18. The vile, base language and shocking, unholy sexual acts contained herein are not condoned by anyone with a lick of sense and should certainly not be reproduced without proper training and protection. The potty-mouthed and perpetually horny "heroine" (the term is used loosely) of this book does not resemble a normal, well-adjusted, or remotely believable person in any way, shape, or form. The author acknowledges that the characters in this book are shallow and two-dimensional; the plot is both ridiculous and insipid. She makes no apologies for any of it.
Listeners are strongly advised to protect their headphones with industrial-grade latex to minimize contamination risks.
Free-spirited musician Letty Dillinger adheres to a strict “no strings attached” policy when it comes to men. After a wild night of unabashed sex in a fancy hotel room, she never expects to see the adventurous stud she dubs “Shades” again. When her all-girl rock trio books a tour at the last minute as the opening act for their archenemies, Letty’s shocked to discover she knows the competition’s new lead singer. Intimately. Shades is no longer a one-night stand. Now he’s the guy she has to one-up on stage every night for the sake of her career.
Sharing close quarters on a bus with her sexy nemesis and his bad-boy buddies puts Letty’s Golden Rule to the test. On this tour, guitar strings aren’t the only things being played. And when heartstrings are pulled too hard, they’re bound to snap sooner or later.

The warning is needed, this book rocks!!
This book is absolutely fantastic. It’s to the point, no holds barred. This is a perfect union between Kendall’s words and Lessa’s voice. Both have so much personality. I wish there was more stars. I’m so looking forward to the next book.

Outstanding narration 😀
Just finished this!! WOW! I now have a whole new vocabulary 😂. I don’t know how she came up with so many euphemisms for body parts. Crazy funny!!! Highly recommend this. Lessa Lamb did an excellent job with narration !!!❤️

wow!
Oh wow! This book was amazing!! Dooo different from other music romances I've read. Our heroine didn't care about what anyone thought. Her only concern was not being able to perform because it was her passion. She was amazing!!
I've seen this book get very popular in an audiobook FB group I'm in and people just laughing at some of the dialogue and it got me very intrigued! I was so excited to have finally listened to it - it is very well worth the listen!! Highly recommend!!

Totally delivered!
I have been hearing about this book for a long time. This was my first listen by Kendall Gray. This book was exactly what I expected. I read the warning and Kendall delivered all that she promised! Don't like what the warning says? Then don't read it. This was my first listen by Lessa Lamb and loved her. Will definitely be listening to more books narrated by Lessa.

Strings
This book is probably the hottest I have listened to in quite a while and loved the million different ways risqué situations were described. A very great listen but make sure you read the blurb first if you’re going to listen. The warning is real but oh so good!

Wow.... What a story
Strings is the first book in the Hard Rock Harlots series and suitable for mature audiences ONLY. This story was crass, raunchy, hott and steamy and I loved every minute of it. It will have your eyes wide in shock one moment and have you laughing out loud in the next.
The characters in this novel were exactly that....characters. They were unusual, vulgar and not like anyone you would have met. Yet in between all the vulgarity, there was an interesting story line and a romance happening which all served to keep you hooked.
I listened to the audible version of this novel. It was narrated by Lessa Lamb who was a new to me narrator. She did a fantastic job with this role. Her portrayal of these characters were superb and she brought the story to life. I loved listening to her as her delivery was spot on and she is now a narrator I would definitely be looking out for.
Strings was definitely one of the most unique books i have ever listened to and I would highly recommend it for ADULTS ONLY but read the warning first.

Not for the prudish...
Well... What can I say... This has been one hell of a witty, mucky and refreshing story!
The vocabulary... oh my...
The characters... I loved...
The story... Pure perfection...!
You just have to listen to this audio! Well... Unless you are a total prude... Then don't... Maybe stick with Mary Poppins ;)
The narration and production quality of this book were some of the best!! Lessa Lamb is 5 stars brilliant and has definitely been the key to this books perfection!!

OUSTANDING narrator performance!
WOW! I'm not sure I would have enjoyed this book nearly as much in digital format as I did in audio, but I'll get to that in a sec.
The story kept me engaged the whole time. A great heroine, in her own wacked out way, and a charming hero to counter-balance her weirdness. I'm not a big fan of rockstar romance, but I loved Letty and her let-it-all-hang-out attitude. (When the author gives a short warning on the blurb, you (should) read it and take it to heart.) Kendall Grey wrote a LONG warning, and every single bit of it is appropriate. I've never heard so many slang words and phrases for sex and anatomy as are packed in this one story. It was... educational. LOL
Now about the audio version.... HOLY CRAP Lessa Lamb knocked THIS performance OUT!! I don't recall her voice being particularly raspy from other stories, but it was PERFECT for Letty and how the author described her. And Lessa SINGS too! I'm just blown away! I can think of perfect character/narrator pairings for 2, maaaaybe 3 books and this is definitely in that category. You made the right choice Ms. Grey!!!

Fabulous characters and great narration
I loved the way Lessa Lamb narrated this book. She gave the characters such life I was right there with them, I loved it!
Letty's attitude is just the best ever, I love her so much. What she gets up to made me chuckle so hard at times. I love the way she just enjoys sex, brilliant stuff. The characters are all great and very distinctive and I enjoyed watching the way they interacted and what they got up to. Great fun and very entertaining.

I can't wait to listen again
If foul language and descriptive sex isn't your thing then this isn't the book for you. However you'll be missing out on a good one. Let me start by telling you the rocker lingo is thick with this one. At first I thought, this is going to bug the shit out of me but no it didn't. Letty is a rocker chick through and through and her vocabulary just reflects that. Some of the descriptions like "meat curtains" made me giggle, kinda cringe, and gag...I loved it. She is blunt, shameless, and ruled by the rock God in her head. Shades is a layed back guy that wants to shake the rich boy label slapped on him and just rock. Once they meet it's a lot of lubed up fun. I listened straight through because it was that good. Lessa Lamb is a new narrator for me but I hope to hear more of her. She had the perfect voice for Letty, raspy and sultry. I would have been happy with that but she did justice to all the characters. An excellent storyline only gets better with great narration. Use a credit you won't be disappointed
