About this listen
A gentleman should never mix business with pleasure, unless he’s a gentleman courtesan....
Driven to selling his services to settle gambling debts, the Honourable Mr. Dominick Burke thoroughly enjoys satisfying the appetites of wealthy women. When Miss Calliope Barrington contracts his services, his desire for her is instant and powerful. Unfortunately, her reasons for hiring him have nothing to do with his bedroom talents.
On the hunt for a husband, Calliope plans for Dominick to act the part of enamored suitor — thereby making her a more attractive prospect for the gentleman she has her eye on. In his attempt to seduce her at every turn, Dominick finds himself rapidly losing his heart. However, winning Calliope’s in return will prove difficult. With the true target of Calliope’s efforts taking notice, he now has competition. When a past misdeed threatens to ruin everything, Dominick is left with no other choice.
To win Calliope, he’ll have to incite one of the biggest scandals the town has ever seen.

Excellent Story
Yet another great story from the fabulous Victoria Vale. It is third in a series of five and my favourite so far. Wonderful narration from Darcy Stark. I highly recommend this book to you.

Brilliant series
Couldn't stop listening. I am really enjoying this series. I hope there will be more after the 5th book, David's story.
This is the 4th book of the series and I loved the 1st,2nd and 4th one. The 3rd one not so much as I don't really enjoy BDSM stories when they get a bit too much. This ended with a bit of a cliffhanger so im starting the next one straight away.
Darcy Stark is a brilliant narrator. He makes the stories even better.

Spicy rollercoaster
The heroine clings to respectability despite having a very supportive, loving family. The hero is a rake of the first order with a dirty mouth and a dirtier reputation. The heroine didn't deserve the hero who had the moral bravery and decency she lacked.

Prepare to be scandalised! ;)
I thoroughly enjoyed my first audiobook experience, I just wish the family wouldn't have interrupted me at the best, most salacious moments! I read the book before, so I knew the story and I love Victoria's work! Darcy Stark can really bring the characters to life with his impeccable English accent as the story is set up in regency London. The book is part of a series called The Gentlemen Courtesans, but you can read it as a standalone. If you want to read/listen to a unique story, then this book is for you! The male character, Nick, decides to join his friend's enterprise and work as an incognito courtesan to earn money as his father cut his funds. The female character, Calliope, is half English and half Indian and therefore not entirely accepted by the ton, but desperate to marry, have children and find love. In her last attempt to find happiness, she hires Nick to help her make the man she thinks she's in love with jealous. The plan is simple, so what could possibly go wrong? Fair warning: if you don't like developing, sexy and naughty characters, crude sexual language or panty dropping hot scenes, then this book is not for you, I'm afraid.
