Summary
Just like Rapunzel from the fairy tales, dreamy, romantic Amy lives a hidden life. She's kept locked away in a tower for her own safety, with her sister as protector. Amy knows it's for her own good. If a dragon catches her scent, she'll be carried away and forced to become a drakoni's mate. But Amy has a secret that she desperately wants to be stolen. She would love to be rescued from her life of idleness and the thought of a devoted drakoni male charging in and saving her from her boredom sounds perfect to her.
Of course, she wants a romantic, loving male who will adore her. What she gets is Rast. He's not kind. Not romantic. Definitely not gentle. But he is utterly and completely obsessed with Amy and he'll stop at nothing to make the delicate female his. Contains mature themes.

Really good
3,5🌟 The world building was good, the main couple is the best, she is sweet and patients as he comes out of his madness and slowly starts to understand humans, becoming the mate she deserves.
He is quite unreasonable, often but we understand why.
The spice was good enough
The narration was excellent.

hmmm time will tell
In the first few chapters.. I already really don't like our main female lead. so many stupid and selfish moves already.. Will see it out most likely but not supporting the FL atm.

Wow, this went psychopathic quickly..
So I have been listening to these as easy listening. They are basically Beauty and the Beast with more use of the C-word and dragons. On the other hand, the author seems to be a mistress of creating awful and unlikeable FL's. Aimee has to be the worst so far. but they are all pretty despicable. She is vicious, pathetic, selfish, and jealous. She literally goes against all the things her sister does for her protection to "escape" a life she finds boring and fulfil her romantic fantasies, which ends with the deaths of loads of other dragons who may well have been her sister's and friend's mates. Yet she doesn't give a monkies. It's super weird. Then she tries to tame her dragon by washing the blood off him (yep, he loves a good bloodbath) and comb his hair. This is so far the worst of the series.
