Summary
“I inhaled this sexy, gritty, thrilling new series and I can’t wait for more!” (Lara Adrian, New York Times best-selling author)
I knew the minute I saw him that Levi Agozi was too perfect to be real. I didn't care. He came to me, asked for me, and, dazzled by his dark good looks and the bad-boy aura surrounding him, I gave in. Willingly.
My father is set to become the next governor of Georgia, and he'll use me to get there if he has to. He'll hand me over to the man with the biggest bank account and political pull.
I wanted something more.
I wanted Levi. And I had him - until I woke up, disoriented and confused, at his mercy. He’s a bad boy, all right. A sexy, deadly assassin. And I'm the pawn torn between him and my father, two powerful men intent on destroying each other.
I might not understand their war, but I do understand one thing: No matter who wins, I lose.
With duet narration

What a ride we are on!
Ella Sheridan knows how to write romantic suspense! The perfect mixture of thrills, tension and passion had me from the beginning. This is the first book in Levi and Abby's story and it's told from Abby's point of view. Catching the eye of the very handsome Levi seemed like a good idea. But Abby had no reason to believe there was something more sinister than a one night stand in store for her. Levi has kidnapped the daughter of the prospective governor of Virginia. What he didn't plan on was a spunky, fighter that spiked his passion. These two have chemistry that you cannot miss. Now Abby is going to have to choose between her father and the love she has found. With an intriguing cast of characters, the spin of politics and fear of the choices to come, we have a story that kept me listening straight through!
And to make it even better, we have narration in duet by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter! This is an incredible team. Clarke shows his versatility with playing the bad boy so well. He gives Levi an dangerous edge and I loved it! Hunter is such a rare find in the narrator world, she can literally narrate any character! I love her as Abby, all strength and fierceness that leads to her uncertainty and passion. All felt with the words of these two. Audibly Addicted knows how to cast their productions and this is a winner!

OMG what a story
From chapter one, I was hooked. I wasn’t expecting what happened to happen. And the last few chapters left me thinking “what the…” I really didn’t see that coming
The narrator combination was absolutely spot on. Though Jason Clarke could make reading a grocery shopping list sexy

ReviewAudio received from Audibly Addicted for an honest audio review
Assassin's Mark was my first Ella Sheridan book, and I am now keen to read more of this series.
I am still unsure how I feel about Levi at this stage. Would it be too much for the man to apologise for the crap that he has put Abby through
And why oh why did Abby have to be a virgin on top of everything else? Just no, we're over that trope ok?
I did like the closeness of the Agozi brothers - and I hope that the other brothers find their HEA. I hope that what has happened in this book is leading where I think it is for one particular brother.
Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter brought this tale to life. There is something so smooth about Clarke's voice that I can't help but want to listen to more.
At times, and this is probably just a me thing, Hunter did come across as a lot younger than the character, but it wasn't all the time. This is most likely just my weird mind though!
I do look forward to listening to more of this author, and these narrators in the future.

Good story but let down by recording
From chapter 11 the voices go funny like a lisp or very dissatisfied because it put me off and didn’t fit the characters
