Werewolves are the guardians of sleeping vampires, protecting their masters during the deadly light of day. But what happens when a werewolf gets fed up with the persecution and tempts fate by breaking his chains and fleeing while his masters sleep? Wounded and desperate, Zev finds himself at the mercy of a family who stumbles upon him during their own quest for vengeance against the demons of the night.

They survived the first wave of werewolves, but Zev knows it’s only the beginning. When a rogue werewolf shows up with news as to why the second attack doesn’t come, Zev has to decide whether or not to trust this enemy to help him defend the town against a threat that has even Zev’s vampire masters afraid. A threat that could affect the entire town. With the dark voices getting louder, Zev is forced to risk everything to save the one who is bringing back his humanity. But what if he is too late and her heart is already claimed by another?

A dark magic coven threatens the safety of Brickwell’s citizens, and Zev is asked to intervene, but his wolf instincts warn that there is more to the threat than he can see. When a girl Zev saved is drawn into the mix and his own ability to become a wolf is jeopardized, he is forced to reconsider everything he knows about the paranormal world to which he belongs.

Zev has been given a new start in life, but cleanup after the earthquake is proving difficult. When Zev starts to see the spirit of a girl he feels a connection to, he can’t just walk away. Not all of the souls are peaceful. Can he help settle the restless spirits before the town catches on to the supernatural world around them, and will he find a way to help the girl who continues to haunt his thoughts long after he frees her soul?

Can the others learn to trust him before it is too late for not only them, but the nation? And can Zev find a way to make peace with the female vampire who is certain he will be the death of them all?

Danger clouds every turn in Zev’s attempt to rescue Fray from the hunters. In a desperate attempt to free her, he throws in with them without regard for his own life and finds an entire community at the mercy of their pitiless hunt. Her life is on the line. But the poison in Fray’s veins is taking its toll. Can Zev and Virgo track down the author with the answers fast enough to save both Fray and the paranormal captives before all lives are lost?
