I always wanted supernatural powers. What I didn't anticipate is that uncovering them would mean dealing with a whole host of "otherworldly" problems. For starters, I'm pretty sure the house I'm living in is haunted. Either that or I'm losing my mind. Secondly, I'm going to a college for supernaturals with zero ideas on what powers I possess. But someone higher up must know something, or I wouldn't be here. Right? Everywhere I go, new secrets are emerging. Like, the fact that I went missing when I was a kid and I don't remember a thing. And this ancestral home...it has secret rooms.

Everything about my new supernatural life is going up in flames. My best friends are acting super weird. I thought it was because my boyfriend moved to town, but now I'm not so sure. And worse yet, all around town, the dead are rising. Rumors are swirling at school that my boyfriend and I are the ones raising zombies - er, revenants. And, I'm beginning to worry that they might be right. I mean, I am pretty new at this whole "raise the dead" business.

My life is pretty much an insane mixture of ghosts, death, and destruction. But the last thing I want to do is be the cause of Wade's demise. Especially since the Angel of Death told me in no uncertain terms to stay away from him. So, I guess there's just one thing to do.

No matter where I go, the tattered red threads of the Moirai follow me. If they have their way, it's only a matter of time and I'll be joining the early grave of so many Blackwoods before me. What's worse, the curse is expanding and threatening to take more lives. Expelled from his birthright for loving me, Wade is now a completely mortal, and vulnerable human. If he dies, there's no coming back as an angel because not even a necromancer can save him when fate and death conspire.
