Tyler Ford is a 13-year-old boy who's on a family vacation, stuck with his odd and irritating parents and his cool older brother. Tyler meets Eena, a girl who Tyler quickly realizes hides a strange mystery. After a midnight meeting that doesn't go at all the way he expected, Tyler realizes Eena's secrets are not just mysterious, but frightening. They are dangerous and supernatural, and thanks to Eena, he is involved whether he wants to be or not.

Tyler and his older brother Zack are back from vacation. Tyler returned with amazing mental superpowers. Zack got a sunburn. Tyler shares his powers with Eena, a girl whose past is covered by shadows and secrets. A dangerous enemy is chasing them, and the three children scramble to prepare themselves. They have too much to figure out, and not enough time. The monsters are coming.
