In Ivy's world, stars are everything. She's a Tamer, born to subdue monsters and animals, but she was also born starless! With her life in danger, Ivy flees into the forest where she befriends a weak little slime named Sora--the one creature she can tame. Together, the unlikely pair set off on a journey, salvaging rubbish to survive. Along the way they'll win hearts, evade danger, and discover there's more to starless Ivy than meets the eye!

Nine-year-old Ivy and her tame slime Sora have joined a group of lively adventurers! But when they arrive at the town of Otolwa, they find it overrun by dastardly kidnappers. To aid her new friends, save the town, and vanquish the bad guys, Ivy will have to pose as bait! Can she, Sora, and their new friends wiggle their way to victory?

When Ivy and Sora encounter a mortally wounded man, Sora uses its unique powers to heal him...and splits in two?! As Ivy and Druid bond over their unhappy pasts, Ivy learns that her new friend was also abandoned by his family thanks to his "useless" skill. But as Ivy knows, there's often more to people (and slimes) than meets the eye. Can Ivy and Sora help their new companion find the strength to forge ahead?

Ivy, Sora, and Druid are ready to set off! But before they can depart, the group gets roped into helping a village with their failing crops. Then, there's an uptick in monster rampages to solve! Between rescuing the village, building her savings, finding the perfect equipment for her travels, and cleaning up Druid's filthy house, it seems like Ivy's preparations for her journey will never end...

As she continues to travel, Ivy grows closer to Druid. Their days are filled with laughter, silly little arguments, and even a more feminine version of Ivy! Yet trouble looms on the horizon when Ivy and her crew happen upon a village facing an abnormally harsh winter. With new people to meet, fire to sit by, and hungry bellies to fill, it looks like Ivy's work is cut out for them. Good thing they've got lots of friends to help keep warm!

Ivy discovers a black slime in her bag, and immediately, wonders how to care for it, nevertheless how to carry it. Thankfully, she can send faxes to her friends to get the fantasy 411 on the care and keeping of a brand-new friend! And as the bitter, cold winter turns to a warm, welcoming spring, Ivy sets their eyes on new horizons and new places. Now, where will their adventures take them next?
