The Story of Glops

In the early days of the world’s creation, God made the animals, and also little creatures known as "glops". Glops were imaginary and practically invisible. At first, they lived in the Garden of Eden. As the world changed, so did the glops. They learned to overcome prejudices and fears. Going anywhere was hard for glops, because they slowly oozed to move. Then, they heard that they had to get to Noah’s Ark before the Great Flood. Would they make it? The Story of Glops continues as people, animals, and creatures spread over the world. Glops were imaginary and practically invisible. They slowly oozed to move. But, they managed to witness and take part in events of long ago. They saw men building a tower to reach God’s home in heaven. Some glops tried to stop the men. What could the little glops do?

Imaginary glops witnessed true events from the Bible. Glops slowly oozed to move and relied on friendly animals to help them go places. Glops were with Isaac and Rebekah when they had twin boys. The boys were very different from each other.

The Israelites were preparing to enter Canaan and take it for their own. After the great leader Moses died, the warrior Joshua led the Israelites into “the land of milk and honey” that the LORD promised to their ancestors. The people were to have faith in God and obey him or they would not reap the bounty of their fertile land. Disobedience to God led to battles, wars, and slavery. The LORD provided judges and prophets, again and again, to help His people. The unlikely, imperfect heroes included Ehud, Deborah, Gideon, Jephthah, Samson, Eli, and Samuel.

The hearts of the first three kings of Israel affected the lives of God’s people and the nation. The first king, Saul, had no love for God. The nation was divided, and the people fought each other. The second king, David, loved God with all his heart. Glops watched him lead the people into a united Israel. From David’s family line, God promised to bring the Savior of the world. The third king, Solomon, was very wise but his loyalty to God was half-hearted. The united Israel began to fall apart. What happened in the lives of these men?
